I posted the final language arts assignment on Wednesday, May 6. The final due date for assignments is May 22. There will be two more blogs after this week's. I will be checking for submitted assignments each day, and updating the "Do I have homework" page daily.
Hello Language Arts Students! I hope you are all doing well, and healthy. During this time away from school, I will be providing learning opportunities for you on this page. You can click the links to read the selections, and to see the worksheets.
Here are ways you can turn your work in:
1. If you have print capability, you can print the worksheets to do them. Then take a picture of the completed work and email the picture to me.
2. You can write answers on a separate sheet of paper. Then take a picture of the completed work and email it to me.
3. You can type your answers in an email and send me the email. For this option, if the assignment asks you to draw a picture, simply write a description of what your picture would look like.
4. You can use the Contact Me page, and do the same thing as #3.
5. You can type your answers in a Google Doc, and share the Doc with me. Again, for pictures, do the same as #3.
I am keeping track of who is handing in which assignments, and updating the Do I Have Homework page each morning.
Remember, my email address is [email protected] . I will post a reading selection and accompanying worksheet(s) each week day. Work at your own pace. Also, I will try to keep up with posting new blogs. Responding to the blog each week will show me that you are involved in your online learning, even if you are having problems with the worksheets.
I will also be checking with students once a week via email to see how you are doing. Take care of yourselves, and stay healthy!

Retirement Emails At the end of this year, three sixth-grade teachers will be retiring, Mrs. Prunty, Mrs. Nichols, and Mrs. McMahan. Please take a few minutes to send them an email to congratulate them and thank them for their years of service. Maybe you can include a memory of a special moment in their class. Like the seniors' graduation and activities, their send-off will have to be a little different this year. They have missed their last quarter of teaching and saying good-byes. Please send something to them to help it seem a little more special. You don't have to share it with me; just let me know that you sent it, and who you sent it to. :) Here are their emails: Mrs. Prunty: [email protected] Mrs. Nichols: [email protected] Mrs. McMahan: [email protected] Bear Hunt Story Do you and your family take walks? You can do a Bear Hunt! People are putting bears in house windows, car windows, outdoor furniture, etc., for people to spot and find as they take walks. If you spot a bear on one of your walks, take a picture of it, email it to me, and write a short little description of where you spot it. Then, make up a short story with the bear as the main character. You can just type your story in your email with the picture of the bear - no need to download or print any worksheet or anything. Use "Bear Hunt" as the subject line for your email. If you aren't out taking walks, but have a bear of your own, take a picture of it, and write a story with your bear as the main character! Have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures and reading your stories! :) Click here to see bears that have been found!! |
